Summary
- No accounts. We don't ask for your name or email to use the site.
- Quiz progress is stored only in your browser (localStorage). It never reaches us. You can clear it with "Reset progress" on the quiz page.
- Images you upload to the AI interpreter are processed to produce your report and are not stored by us. The text report is kept (without the image) so the same image can be answered again instantly.
- Advertising is provided by Google AdSense. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland we ask for your consent before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used.
The AI X‑ray interpreter
When you upload an image, your browser first resizes it and removes embedded metadata (such as EXIF location data). The image is then sent over an encrypted connection to our server function and on to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the interpretation. We do not save the image. We do keep the finished text report for up to 12 months, filed under a one-way fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash) of the processed image, so that if the same image is uploaded again the saved report is returned instead of running the AI again. The fingerprint cannot be turned back into the image, and reports of images that show identifying details are never kept. Your browser also keeps your own recent reports and small thumbnails on your device so you can reopen them; you can delete them with "Clear saved interpretations". Anthropic processes API data under its commercial terms and does not use it to train models by default; it may retain data for a limited period for trust and safety purposes.
Do not upload images that identify a person. Crop out or cover names, dates of birth, hospital numbers and other identifiers before uploading. Only upload images you have the right to share.
To prevent abuse we process your IP address briefly. It is not stored with the image.
Payments
Payments for the AI tutor are handled by Stripe, which processes your card or wallet (Google Pay, Apple Pay) details under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details. We keep the Stripe payment reference so that each payment is used for one interpretation, and Stripe shares with us the email address and amount you pay, which we keep for accounting and refunds as required by law.
